Prior to joining the Blaze Acumen team in August 2010, Phil was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Private Clients Group where he forged a career as an Australian tax specialist.
Phil is a member of the Blaze Acumen Corporate Tax Team.
Phil specialises in providing advice to companies and business owners in relation to:
- Structuring their business and personal tax;
- GST / BAS reporting and compliance;
- Fringe Benefits Tax;
- Salary packaging;
- Business Restructuring;
- Capital Gains Tax;
- Tax Consolidation;
- Thin Capitalisation; and
- International Tax Issues including inbound and outbound investments;
Phil has extensive experience in advising corporate and business taxpayers and in particular, Australian subsidiaries of multinational companies.
Throughout his career, Phil has advised clients in the following industries:

- Information Technology
- Biotech;
- Building Industry;
- Shipping;
- Transport; and
- The Not For Profit Sector.
Phil has been a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for 25 years and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
